Learn To Check Your Ego at the Door If You Want To Reduce Injury
At what point should you stop defending a submission that targets your joints?
When it causes you to grunt in pain? 😡
When you hear a “pop”? 😲
Some of us will go to great lengths to defend the submission in training.
If this sounds like you, then you should be asking yourself, “What will I gain from fighting off this submission for too long?”
Most of the time, a person’s EGO will influence their decision on whether they choose to tap early or too late.
When in doubt, just tap out.
Tap early, and tap often.
It’s better to be training on the mats having fun than spectating from the sidelines recovering from an injury.
Your joints will thank you later for it 🙏.
